Colombo District Committee Meeting was held with the inauguration of Hon.Governor, Western Province , Co-chairman of District Co-ordination Committee Air Marshal Roshan Gunatillake, Hon. Member of Parliament, Co-chairman of District Co-ordination Committee Dr, Pradeep Undugoda,and the District Secretary, Colombo/Government Agent Mr. K.G. Wijesiri in the main auditorium of District Secretariat, Colombo on 29th August.
Mr. A.H.M. Fouzi and Mr. Madhura Withanage the Members of Parliament were also participated in this event.
Development programs that are currently being implemented in the district, New Village - New Country, National Integration Development Program, Food Security and Nutrition Assurance Program, Operational activities of Saubhagya Production Village Program, Program of implementation of projects to mitigate disasters, Program of examination of eyes of school students, Program of temple renovation, operations of Gramashakti program were taken under discussion herein. The present situation of diseases such as dengue, hydrophobia and leprosy and the control of those diseases and the matter of how to make aware of people were also focused here.
Discussed about the programs being implemented across the district under the CResMPA- Multi-Phase Climate Impact Mitigation Program and advised the officials to solve the existing problems related to those projects and implement them promptly.
